Oscar brings in a run.

Who in the world can pitch the bottom of the 10th? Sandlin only faced one batter yesterday.

the rather unimpressive Tyler Freeman up next, at least he's a righty against LH Soto. And he did hit the ball hard, but out.

But Baez whiffs. He did hit a homer but he's really pretty terrible.

And Shaw slams the door. give the Win to Plesac! But of course DLS get the credit, he has 3 wins, Zach stuck at 2.

This team battles.

Before they won it Soto threw wild to 1B and Castro miraculously scooped it. Then, Baez makes an over the shoulder miracle catch (he's obviously there for his fielding, not hitting).

Oscar, cool as cool, just lines one to right center to go ahead. Keep battling.

Clutch performance by Shaw BUT just goes to show how crazy valuable Clase is to this team.

Oscar is the man. I know the so called experts are calling his performance so far lucky and not sustainable.

I hope the dians give him every chance to succeed.

What's really interesting about Oscar is that he's playing the game differently in the majors than in his long minor league career. Still rarely walks but he's routinely going to the opposite field and loading up with doubles and homes are rarities.

looking at the stats history, his 20% K rate is about where he's been at all levels since rookie ball
his one walk every 30 plate appearances is about his minor league pace
in AAA he hit 20 doubles 27 homers; in AA 18 2B 14 HR; for the Gs 14 vs 3.
XB hits of one kind or another 1/9 at bats, best he's ever been

Another well matched game with a good rival. McKenzie betrayed by his only flaw, a couple solo homers.

A terrific defense play by All Star 2nd baseman Andres Giminez.
Another terrific attribute by this star: he stole his 15th base, he's been caught twice. In his career he has 34 steals in 37 tries. He's a really multitalented star. If they would like to sign someone else to a lengthy extension, he's my top choice. Otherwise he'll be subject to a Lindor-type trade when he is nearing free agency

Gausman entered today's game with an ERA about 0.30 better than Bieber's. He left with an ERA 0.02 better than Bieber's

Another 3 hit day for Rosario including his 8th homer, half in the past few weeks.
Miller at 2nd double and delivers two doubles
2 out of 3 from a good Toronto club in their stadium

2 1/2 ahead of Twins and Sox.
