I don't know if you guys saw the game, or remember this, but there was a play where Josh Naylor made a great scoop on a bad throw to 1B. Sometimes you can just tell, he made it look easy.

Who knew Naylor was THAT comfortable at 1B!

Ok, duh, at this point he stays there. For all we know all that RF stuff messed with his hitting. We can figure the rest out.

Naylor's OK; not sure if he's going to develop into more than OK. Would like to see some home run power. ;
Luplow and the 3 Rs and Naylor gives us something of an offensive core Hernandez should resume hitting sometime. The two halves of the Lindor deal might. Perez walks a lot, hits some homers and is so solid on defense I don't care if he hits or not.

We know the Tribe is not good
but, are the Twins this bad? Or
is it just baseball?

I've read that the Twins have a lot of covid infections which explains why Rooker and Kiriloff and maybe some others are in the lineup.
But unless there are some pitchers on the IL, too, that part of their team looks pretty questionable.
WhiteSox are probably the team to beat. Royals have good looking young pitchers which is why some predicted them for 3rd ahead of Cleveland.

What a day for Bauers: a single, a walk and an RBI double. His AVG is now above A. Rosario and Perez'. but not his OPS; and he's closing in on Hernandez and Giminez.

Allen looks worse everytime out. 3 first inning homers. Goodbye Cleveland, Hello Columbus.

Happ has been the Twins best pitcher. I think we can pretty much write this one off. It will be an opportunity for Kyle Nelson to reduce his career ERA of 54.00. He beat out Carlos Perez [who has been released] without pitching in the majors this year.
And a blowout is perfect Trevor Stephan day.
And an inning or so for the happy father Nick Wittgren who has returned,

1 out in the second, two more hits, at least they didn't leave the park, and here's Trevor Stephan. Allen will be ready for the Clippers season opener next Tuesday.

Quantrill or Hentges move into the rotation? Perhaps 3 innings for one of them today would be a bit of a stretch out to prepare for his first starting assignment.

Stephan only got 1 2/3 which was enough to allow 2 runs of Allen's to score; and a home run of his own.
Now its Hentges in the 4th. Interesting to see how long he goes: is it his warm up for his first start?

Definitely think that will be Quantrill civ. But Hentges would be fun to see too.

Somehow Logan Allen morphed back into the guy who was sucking before this season. Too bad.

Hentges finishes 3 innings; 4 hits one a homer, just that one run no walks and 2 strikeouts has thrown 43 pitches.
[Allen used 52 pitches to get his 4 outs today, facing 10 batters] Hentges faced 13 in his 3 innings.]
