1st base ump is an idiot.

Clear double play. Kipnis catches the ball in the air, tosses to first and Santana tags the runner going back to first.

Ump signals safe.... ????

They rang it as double play but what the hell was the ump signaling safe for?

Plutko did OK. Should have given up 3 runs in 6 innings. I really don’t know why he went back out for 7th. Let them tack on another. But our 7th starter against that lineup in their house, I would take it. Unfortunately we just could not get a clutch base hit.

We were 1 for 12 with runners in scoring position. That won’t get it done.

Hate to say it, but once in awhile, the ump signals safe and calls out. Very embarrassing.

Our 21st ranked prospect is pitching another very good game in a tough spot.

What a great win! 3 out of 4 in Twinkie Town! Couple of observations, why was Naquin playing shallow against Goodwin? Also, Hunter Wood looks like Basil Rathbone (for those of you with long memories!)

Something in the water in this organization that turns out starting pitching.

OK, this is lame, but I had a feeling the team would want to bail out Brad Hand who has bailed THEM out all year!

8-)

Fun team to watch this year. Would have never, ever thought that the first 2+ months - that this team would be more fun than last year's loaded but sleepwalking team.

Hunter Wood. Wittgren. Clippard. Oliver Perez Goody

How does the organization dig these nobodies up and put together a bullpen that leads MLB with them?

:o

We know a great trade got us Hand and Cimber too. But wow on those other guys.

Looking smart for letting Cody and Andrew Miller go.

Another observation about today's game.

This was a game WON by the Indians, not LOST by the Twins.

1. The Naquin to Lindor to Plawecki relay that cut off the winning run at the plate was clutch!

2. The Twins put together some really good at bats to battle back vs. Hand. For example CJ Cron fouled off a ton of pitches before finally getting a key hit. Great job battling back by the Twins - not easy to string together that many good at bats vs. Hand who was not giving in!

3. Our Tribe then finishes it off with Santana (this guy has bee money all year, even when most were sucking). Small ball note - great bunt by Greg Allen with 2 on in the 10th.

Game winning grand slam in 10th inning yesterday. Walk off solo shot in 9th today. Carlos Santana saved our bacon since the season began when he was the only one hitting. And is still saving it now.

By the way, another blown save for Hand, two days in a row. His velocity is down again, and his slider just floats in. No sharp movement. It is a concern.

Bruce Drennan said he was told by Indians source that the team thought they had a deal done for Kirby Yates, Padres closer, right before the deadline hit. But fell through at last minute. That would have been big. There were reports after deadline that the Indians worked up till deadline and almost pulled another trade. Guess that was it.
