Did you see that double by Santana, TFIR?

Castellanos is terrible in RF... If we get him he has to DH.

RBI single by Kipnis!

5-2 good guys, btm 8

Santana keeps it going on.

Yeah, agree we could use a REAL setup guy if we are going to make a run after all at the Twins.

I saw the Castellanos misplay and he also turned the wrong way. Totally disastrous outfielder.

Wow Greg Allen doubles in Kip and Jose for 7-2.

Just hit it to right field and it's an automatic extra base hit.

HB - remember Castellanos was a 3B originally. Wonder why they switched him.

I watch the Tigers quite a bit with my wife who's a fan of theirs, and he makes bonehead plays like that all the time. Matter of fact, after last year in RF the Tigers asked him to move back to the infield this year and he said no. He moved from LF to 3B for them, then from 3B to RF. And he didn't want to switch again this year.

Big mistake on his part. He'd make more money on market this year if he would have went to corner infield.

2 RBI double by Greg Allen!

7-2 good guys!

I'm not sure why they sat Allen when Naquin came back. He has been swinging a hot bat for a while now. I would have played him over Bauers for a bit, till he cooled off any way.

I was typing as you posted, TFIR. Not sure why they asked him to move originally but they know they made a mistake.

So I just looked it up for shits and giggles.

The Indians brought Allen up just before the all star break. In his last hand full of games in Columbus he went 14 for 40, .350 avg. And since being called up for Tribe he has hit 7 for 14, 500.

Play him in left till he cools off. Not like Bauers or Luplow is doing anything lately.

Game over

We win!

We rule!

We may never lose again!!!

OK, I'll take charge.

I'll start at the bottom,

in the DSL, CF Jorge Burgos singled and doubled; that makes 12 doubles for the 17 year old. 297/378/442 No homes
Gabriel Rodriguez one single.

Lots of hitting in Arizona

The two offensively challenged 2nd and 3rd round draft picks, both middle inflielders,
Valdes had 2 singles, but struck out the other 3 times. 213 with 522 OPS. One extra base hit for the season, a double
Cairo 1 single 2 walks. He's hitting 179/522. His one xb hit was a triple
Star of the Future Bracho. with his 7th double 2 singles 3 RBI 293/1103
OF Escobedo 4 hits, including his 6th double and 1st homer. 390/1081.

Some pitching of note:
draftee Kevin Kelly 1 2/3 no hit or walks 4K 9 2/3 innings, 14 K. 21 year olds in Arizona are however suspect
rehabbing Yefferson Yannuzzi 1 1 1 1 1 0
And rehabbing James Karinchak faced 3 batters with predictable results.

More to come; other stuff to do

Plesac stumbled in the first, walked a pair, and one scored; homer in the 3rd for a 2-0 deficit. Our bats stayed silent for a couple innings, but then Lindor 2 run homer tied it in the 3rd. then 3 in the 6th for a 5-1 led by the New Jose Ramirez [looks like the Good Ole Jose Ramirez] homer, and rbi hits by Plawecki and Mercado. Pleasc exits after 6 and 105 pitches. Nick Goody in without the ability to screw up Plesac's ERA like he did to Bieber with a bases clearing triple.

Goody started this season in Columbus pitching about as badly as a pitcher could: His first 10 2/3 innings 19 runs 17 earned for a 12.51 ERA, not due to one or two awful games but allowed at least 1 run in 9 of 14 appearances. Then settled in, 2 runs in 5 1/3, no runs in this last 5.

And in the majors, after a 1-2-3- 7th he's now given up 4 earned runs in 19 1/3 [I don't find the stats for inherited runners allowed in; know he was 3-3 in relief of Bieber. Safer today, he came in to start an inning.

Plesac now leads Indians starters in ERA: 3.50 Clevinger 3.56 Bauer 3.67 Bieber 3.69. At the back of the list: Carrasco 4.98 Kluber 5.80!
