Cargo walks to load bases. Then Luplow gets a runner home with a long sac fly to LF.
2-0 good guys!

And another runner thrown out at 3rd base with 2 outs!!!
We had 2 guys on with 2 away and Jose up, and Martin decides to try and steal 3rd.
That's the 4th time I've seen it this year. Just games I've watched.
This is the dumbest Tribe team I have seen in memory.

In case you weren't on STO, Manning again just ragged on about that. Even into the next inning.
If possible he was more pissed off than you !

Yeah, I’m watching on there today. He and I were ranting at the same time. He was fueling my fire

Not complaining though.

Ok, for those not watching, Roberto Perez just hit a 3 run homer with 2 outs.
5-2 Tribe

So I took a look at Gomes stats compared with Perez and they're even with 11 RBI. Perez OPS is about 25 points higher. He has 4 homers, Yan has two but is playing less often.
Also while talking about catchers, Mejia is sub 200 and now on the DL. He doesn't play a lot behind Austin Hedges so if ran the Padres I'd return him to AAA and work him in the outfield.

JRod gave one back on a solo homer; but after a single got an inning ending DP. This makes 4 very satisfactory starts for Rodriguez and if the bullpen can do his job he'll get his first Indians win. I know Wittgren works the 8th and Hand the 9th. I suppose the seventh will be some combination of one of the lefties and Cimber.

So look you can make the argument that they sold high on Gomes. We liked last year but my memory doesn't need much overtime work to remember some pretty crappy hitting seasons.
Jefry Rodriguez at this point is worth far more - obviously it's ridiculously early on him but he's really helped.
As for Mejia, Brad Hand has been fabulous, period. And Cimber very useful this season.
Of course we all agree on one thing - bring up Haase and give him some at bats please! If he comes through then the Gomes deal looks even better.

Yes, TFIR. I stepped away from PC for a minute but I did see that. But it’s more like Haley’s Comet than an eclipse.

Nice job by Cimber, Wittgren and Hand wrapping this one up. JRod with his first win for the Tribe!

Haley Perez's blow makes him hero of the game.
(I wrote that in disappearing ink, hope it works)

Frankie started us off right tonight! 1-0 good guys.
Then Kipnis pops out.
Most MLB managers put their best hitter at #2. Our skipper insists on putting one of our worst. Every. Day.

Do not hang sliders to Jose Abreu please. He will make you cry.
