Now he's entitled to a brief rest while Giolito ready to quickly take care of Kipnis Ramirez and Santana, one of whom is hitting over 200.

Ramirez long foul fly moves Kipnis 90 feet.

Santana quickly pops up to short.

Yes, we are, as he lines out and Kipnis leadoff double does no good. We did make their ace work, though, making he throw 8 pitches in the inning

It may not have been obvious to anyone who has not watched, listened or followed this team, but this offense is really awful. Reminds me of the Tribe lineups of my youth which regularly also failed to back up some really solid starting pitchers like McDowell, Tiant, Siebert.

Civ, you nailed it. I was just going to say I feel sorry for Rodregius pitching with this kind of support.

Oh yeah and the announcers were going through a list of numbers at the beginning of the game to show how bad the offense is.

I feel sorry for the whole pitching staff. JRod could be good enough to fill a gap when we trade Bauer. Kluber probably won't be tradeable until the offseason; too bad, sometimes deadline deal packages can be specially good ones. Kluber came in a deadline trade of Westbrook, but Bauer was an offseason pickup.
