Bottom of the order ready to get the rally going for the Tribe in the 5th. 2 of the 3 best batting averages of the starting 9 are the 7th and 8th hitters: those terrors of the plate, Jordan Luplow and Tyler Naquin. the 3 infielders who are hitting 1-2-3 today are hitting 234-179-186, and did yield our only two baserunners, with a pair of walks.

Oliver Perez with a 123 inning. The tide is set to turn. Naquin drew a rare walk last inning so we can tell Swanson is on his last legs. Top of the order threatens to turn things around in the Tribe 6th,

two outs later, Jose Ramirez breaks it up with a double. And Carlos pops up.

James Karinchak struck out the side again today. So far he's pitched 2 innings in AAA and has 6 K. Has allowed 1 hit and 1 walk in those 2 innings.
22.50 strikeouts per 9 innings now.

But his WHIP has soared to 1.00. As Tito has said, his numbers are crazy.

Tito also said he has 2 "wipeout" pitches.
That plays in a bullpen role ....anywhere. Him setting up Brad Hand sounds amazing. And Wittgren has already been a great addition.

Watch out for Ivan Nova today. In his last 3 starts he's totaled 18 innings, 31 hits, 20 runs. Against our offense, that sounds like a no-hitter is statistically likely.

Blue Jackets got eliminated. I check on the Tribe to see if they may cheer me up. Nope. Got slaughtered by a crap team and a crap starter. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but can’t wait till Browns season starts!

I'm not surprised no one posted during that travesty. Against the most hittable pitcher in the league, our bunch managed a whole lot of singles, one doubles, and left runners constantly on base. With this incompetent office, we cannot get by with any bad starts; virtual no chance for something like an 8-7 win. So if Bauer and Carrasco and Bieber are not perfect we'll soon slip below .500.
It's beginning to look time to trade the few tradeable components, i.e. Bauer, and move on.

And I'll add on to this civ.
The Twins are really, really good.
Some really good adds (I will repeat though their payroll is the same as the Tribe) and an under the radar add of manager Rocco Baldelli.
Now I have to add the apparent really good add of Martin Perez to their rotation. Yikes!

So if it's time to blow the Tribe, who besides Bauer do we have that anyone else wants? Hand is a top notch closer. We're not going to deal Frankie, I don't think, if they want to keep any fans. The rest is pretty crappy

They are not going to blow it up during the next couple of months. Makes no sense......

Oh yeah, I agree, this is a July issue if they are looking hopeless.
Look they were looking to deal a starter in the offseason, so at the very least they'd likely look at takers for Bauer at the deadline.
