We think some of our guys is struggling. Mahtook for Detroit is having an April to forget.

Mahtook is 0-22 now on the season, and he is the one that let Stamet's ball get by him and keep running around the bases. It is piling up for that guy.

So by now more than a half dozen guys have hit homers, but Jose Ramirez is not one of them. He has unfortunately picked right up where he left off last September. The magic date was August 14. From then to the end of the season he was 24-140 with 7 doubles 1 triple and 3 homers.

His start this spring is 6 hits in 35 AB and only two doubles. He was drawing plenty of walks during his end of year slump but beginning of '19 features only two BB.

Good thing we did not sign him to a long term contract. I don't know what's going on but it's not pretty.

Jose's OPS now lower than Santana, Hanley, Miller, Naquin, Bauers, Martin, Luplow!. It's just about identical to Roberto Perez'

In defense of Stamets , he made a couple of really good plays today. Just needs experience, when Lindor gets back he needs to continue playing at Columbus.

Hillbilly wrote:Kluber's bad 1st inning against Chicago was helped along by an error by Stamets too. He's just a nub out there. A pile of human flesh that has no redeeming qualities as a baseball player. Calling him a JAG, Just A Guy, would be a compliment.

I am no fan of Chang, our SS prospect in AAA, but he should be playing. At least he has some power at the plate.

Hell, we have an old journeyman, Freeman, at AAA too. Either would have to be an improvement.
Wow!

Hillbilly knocking an Ohio born product?

Well, he went to college in Indiana. Must have rubbed off on him. He shoulda played basketball..

We are in 1st place in the Central now. No Lindor. No Kipnis. No CarGo. No major league caliber catcher. And we’re still in 1st.

We get some of those guys back and we may never lose again!

I am watching the Clip Show (and by the way, this HD is awesome!) and the journeyman SS I mentioned earlier, Mike Freeman, has two solo homers.

He can be in Detroit by end of the night.

And by the way, Clippers are ahead 2-0 in 6th. Hu with 5 shutout innings so far, trying to make his case.

55 strikes in 74 pitches.

I jinxed Hu. He gave up a double and a homer in the 6th. 2-2 now.

He had only given up 2 weak singles till the 6th. Wheels are falling off now.

HB - Asdrubal Cabrera was held out of the Rangers' lineup Tuesday because he traveled to Miami on Monday to become a United States citizen.

tigers score first on a 2 run homer by Nico Goodrum. Despite some offensive improvements of late, we still have 6 in the starting lineup with avg under 200.
Cumulative OPS of our 2nd baseman, SS and 3rd baseman is 970; less than the 3rd baseman alone for the first 4 1/2 month of 2018.
