Another home run off Sipp.

Cruz.

This one a 2 run shot as Choo and Bradley could not find the fly ball off the bat of the last batter.

Why the heck is Sipp still pitching? I though 2 home runs in four batters should be a ticket to the showers

Sipp gets the 3rd out on a K

Five batters and he gave up two home runs and a ruled double.

Manning notes that JR has not had a whole lot to get excited about offensively tonight.

On to the 8th as we look feeble against Ogando.

We need 6 runs in the final two innings to tie.

Durbin pitching and surrenders a lead off double

Followed by a ripped single to Choo.

Runners at the corners for Texas and no outs.

Tribe strategy is apparently to wear down the Texas batters for the final two games of the series.

Walk and bases loaded and no outs.

Good job Durbin.

Double.

3 score

10-1

Durbin has not recorded an out.

Single. Two on.

Still no outs, and Durbin still in.

I think Acta wants Durbin to suffer since it's now 10-1 anyhow.

Sipp and Durbin combined gave up 6 earned runs in 3 outs.

The top of the 8th mercifully ends on a nice Tribe DP

Well, the other division scores went as well as they could have for us tonight.

Chicago beat Detroit and Minnie beat KC

Twins 14 1/2 out

KC 9 games out.

Chicago 7 games out

And Detroit 4 1/2 game behind us

Masterson retired the first batter in the seventh, but was removed after Ian Kinsler walked and Andrus singled. Sipp was called on to face Hamilton, who was batting .179 against left-handers, but that strategy failed. Hamilton's line drive cleared the wall in right near the Rangers' bullpen.

"He missed his spot," Hamilton said. "He was trying to go away with his fastball. He got it up and in."

From the same article:

.. RHP Alex White (sore middle finger) has been sent to extended spring training to begin a rehab program. He's expected to miss about 10 more weeks. ... 1B Nick Johnson, signed by the Indians to a minor league contract in February, has been activated from extended spring training and joined Double-A Akron. Johnson had wrist surgery last season.

CALI: Thanks for remembering my attendance at the game last night. Sorry I couldn't bring home a better result. The club seats are located in the mezzanine level along the first base line. That location is a major problem for night games on clear evenings, though. The sun is setting, and blinding everyone except for the last rows, until about 8:30. Even the last rows are in the sun just before it finally sets. But we didn't have to pay for the seats, and it included all you can eat food.

The announcers said the "double" that fell between Brantley and Choo Friday was "lost in the twilight."

We need some freakin' runs and hits.

Rangers have outscored us by a mile this series. We're scoreless in our 7th, down 4-0.

Two on now for us with one out......

I swear "checked swings" were evaluated differently by the umps years ago.
