What an utterly dissapointing exit.

Out of 27 innings (well 25 at the moment) they have been listless at the plate.

Mental mistakes in the field that shouldn't be happening to a team in their 3rd playoff appearance in 3 years.

Did Josh Donaldson even have a hit or a walk?

Time to start thinking about the retooling of our lineup. As I speak, 8th inning Stros have bases loaded 1 out.

Still loaded, another run in.

And a wild pitch.

Turn out the lights, the party is over!

thank God that's over. What a bullpen! Miller actually got out of his mess. Allen made another one, Hand cleared the bases that Corey filled. They should have used Guyer on the mound.

Winner of the LVP award was Jose Ramirez. Batting average 0. One walk.
Winner of the Not Cy: how about group honors to the bullpen or Corey Kluber could merit the prize for getting the series off to a miserable beginning.

Bullpen totals for the series: 10 innings 19 hits 14 runs 13 earned 8 walks 4 HR. ERA: 11.70. WHIP: 2.70. OBA 474 SLG 735 OPS 1209

Yep, when Kluber and JRam just kill you, that hurts badly. Bullpen never got their footing this year!

That said - Houston's pitching is very good (adding Gerritt Cole to that rotation was a crime!), we know they can hit, and don't be surprised if they repeat. Stay tuned.

Let’s knock the dust off this folder. The Indians-Reds game is on STO TV today. Tyler Naquin is trying to earn one of those starting spots in OF, hits a homer down RF line first time up.

We all know Naquin has the potential to be a very nice bat if he can stay healthy. A very key guy.

Wojiechowicz gives up all the runs. That's good. I wouldn't have to type out his full name all season long.

I know people named Wojiechowicz. They answer to Wojo.

Henry Martinez looked good closing game out. Well, ending the tie game I should say. He looked good in high A and AA last year. Then got smacked around a bit after a late season call up to AAA. Hope he’s ready sooner rather than later. Bullpen may need help if the quantity instead of quality plan doesn’t work out.

I think Martinez has a shot sometime this year; he had a couple atrocious games in Columbus which ruined his stats but then settled in at the end of the season.

First 4 games: 2 1/3 innings 13 hits 11 runs all earned 1 walk 5 K ERA 42.43 WHIP 6.00
Final 6 games 8 2/3 innings 5 hits 2 runs both earned 3 walks 10 K ERA 2.08 WHIP 0.92

lots of bad pitching Sunday. Except Olson who faced three, threw nine pitches, and struck everyone out.
