Snell was out earlier too and that accounts for his innings total being what it is.

I do think he is the favorite for CY though.

I think all the contenders have spent some time on the DL.
At the half way point Severino was in the top 3 but he's been awful since. Not hurt, just bad

A lot of the talk has been about relievers: Treinen [is that right?] or Diaz.

Lost the game.

Verlander hasn't been on the DL. Tell you what that race is going to be something!

This team has been on cruise control since mid May simply looking to October.

Getting a Cavs deja vu - the past few seasons it was all just a warmup for the REAL season.

Tomlin is starting tonight? Why him? I know that Plutko has proven he's no better and that we really don't need to win any games this month in order to make the playoffs, but couldn't they find anyone else? Cody Anderson worked 2/3 of an inning for Akron a couple days ago, so he could be an option. Ryan Merritt could be asked to return from home. Brandon Guyer has had plenty of rest since his last outing.

just for a refresher I reviewed Josh's six 2018 starts back in April and May. He totaled 30 innings and allowed an amazing 15 homeruns. That even includes one 5 inning shutout effort. total 27 runs for an ERA 8.10. On the good side he only walked 5 and avoided losses in the last two

I'm thinking a few more walks might have been a good idea.

In five appearances since coming off the DL Tomlin has allowed only 3 runs and 11 hits in 6 2/3 innings and only 1 home run.
Clearly ready to lead the team into the playoffs.

Tomlin looked very sharp His last time out. Almost picked a guy off first!

I will be at tonight's game. Will try to bring back a winner.

I believe he retired all two hitters he faced. Good luck tonight.

Very first hitter belts a homer.

Sorry, Gaylord. But Tomlin is God awful and has no business in majors.

Tomlin's 3rd pitch goes over the wall.....might be a long night for him.

First 3 batters have reached base.

Get him out now, for God sake.
