Pitching staff did their job.

Was especially impressed in Clev's effort - then Perez and Neil Ram getting out of that jam to keep it at 2-1

They gave the offense a shot but they laid an egg.

So the bullpen outperformed the offense - lol, can't say that too often this season.

When Carrasco is really on his game, he's perfectly capable of pitching a no-hitter anytime he's out there. Hasn't had one of those starts for awhile, maybe not this year. But today he's on: 3 perfect innings, 5 strikeouts, 28 pitches, only 4 were out of the strikezone.

Of course the Indians hav'nt scored either. The only hit of the day is by Erik Gonzalez playing for Kipnis.

Someone with video will need to describe this one:

Alonso lines into an unassisted double play: right fielder Max Kepler, EE doubled at 2nd.
Was this a sinking liner that Kepler fielded in short right and ran to 2nd for the putout before Encarnacion could get back?

OK: so I watched the replay and it was NOT an unassisted DP. Nice diving catch and a throw to 2nd for the out.
