Struck first guy out on 3 pitches.
That's just his way of getting us hopeful before failing miserably.
2 pitch groundout for next batter.
Here comes the pain. 2 away.
Another groundout!
Game over.
We win!
We rule!!
We may never lose again!!!

I used reverse psychology on the baseball gods. You expect our relievers to suck and they do well.

Next to Hammy, I like HB for some play by some play!

Arlington is always fun.
Best call of the night right there HB. And the announcers said it was 107 degrees at game time.
This is a total hitting ballpark, especially in summer. Likely more high scoring games on the way.
If I was a team that needed starting pitching, I would get Hamels cheap - he would be so happy getting out of there!

Absolutely, TFIR.
It was so hot and dry the field was like concrete. One hit that Bauer gave up was a ball hit in the dirt in front of the plate. Field was so hard it bounced over EE’s head at first for base hit.

I love you guys. Swear, you would better than the hacks that right garbage of the announcers that tell you every 2 min that Kluber hasn't walked a batter since or that an unbelievable play was really routine.

Ah thanks guys. My wife is out of town for weekend at a conference in Utah. I usually tag along with her on these trips but I’ve been to Utah twice and think I saw everything I wanted to. Was bored out of my mind last trip there. So after a long hot afternoon doing yard work I decided to sit back with my favorite beverages and watch some baseball. Figured I’d do some PBP for old times sake. My takes were bourbon induced, but Harry Doyle had a bottle of Jack Daniels in the booth with him too, so it’s all good. You need a bottle to watch our bullpen. But glad you enjoyed it.
I will be back tonight as Cookie Carrasco faces off against my old buddy Bartol0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0. Though tonight he won’t be putting up a bunch of zero’s. It is not 2000 any more.
My Lord, this guy is still pitching?!
By the way, originally Hamels, the lefty, was supposed to pitch Sunday, but Rangers changed it up. It’s a righty now. Would be a shame if Yandy doesn’t get another game before getting sent back down after his fine night last night.

Wouldn't surprise me if Hamels is gone by Monday.
Heck, as you know HB one of Yandy's outs was a ball drilled deep to right field and not far from the wall at all! Just a great day for him, Tito surely noted that.
I say they send down EG - when they originally kept him Kipnis was in bad shape - no longer the case.

How can Tito tell this guy he is demoting him? He might put him in a headlock which will sure kill him.
How does this guy only have 2 homers on the season?
By the way, the double Jose hit late in game that led to winning run. When he hit the ball, which bounced off the wall, he literally spun like a top at home plate before running.

Bartolo Colon, the Rangers' portly 45-year-old right-hander, pitches on a weekend featuring record heat in Arlington. The Rangers opened a series against Cleveland on Friday night with a first-pitch temperature of 107 degrees, the highest ever at the start of a game at Texas' 25-year-old ballpark.
The expected high Saturday is 109 degrees, with the teams set to play at night. The forecast during Sunday afternoon's finale calls for a high of 108. The hottest temperature for a game this season is 108 degrees, set when the Angels hosted the Dodgers on July 7.
Colon is making his third attempt to break a tie with Dennis Martinez for the most wins in the majors by a native of Latin America. Colon and Martinez each have 245 victories.

One more thing I am sure the team realizes.
One of the modern day mantras is that the "bat to ball" skill is the #1 skill and that power can be added later on if that skill is already present.
Lindor and Josey are poster children for that line of thought.
As we all know, that "bat to ball" skill is present in abundance in Yandy. Future is bright.

HB- I thought about the Guyer kiss of life also.
The thing I like about Yandy is he hits the ball hard makes contact and runs well. Can he play a decent OF compared to Cabrera? Contact and walks are better than Allen or Guyer ,perhaps even Naquin.

Unfortunately, Lou, no. They moved Yandy to the OF last year and he was - not good.
He does play a good 3rd base though. But with Kipnis finally coming around that wouldn't help. Don't see much of a roll on this team as constructed. DH or 1B against lefties and maybe give Kip a day off against a lefty here and there and play Yandy at 3rd and Jose at 2nd. That's about it.
They could include Gonzalez in a trade for an OF bat. Use Yandy as a utility guy. He's played every position except except SS and C in minors. Including CF. But I'd try to keep him out of the OF unless a pinch.

Or move Kipnis to the OF again, Naquin over to RF.

Well each pitcher gives up a hit but nothing more. After 1, 0-0
(Lindor lead off double but got thrown out at 3rd trying to advance on a grounder to SS)
