Hey great job civ of commentary!
Would love to see lots more of EGon in this lineup at 2B!
Kluber is so good that I was listening to the Tigers announcers on Sirius and they spent tons of time just lavishing him with praise. Visiting announcers!

TFIR:
My wife & I was out yesterday and listened to game on Sirius. Tigers announcers were very complimentary of us then too. So much so that Elaine got ticked at them, and she's a Tiger fan!

Lol, yeah, they definitely do their homework on their opponents and praise when and where appropriate. Definitely not "homers".
I mean they praised Tiger guys too when it came up but this game was dominated by Kluber so they rightly brought that and his history to the attention of the Tiger fans. As well they were complimentary of Lindor for quite a spell.

Maybe we'll score some runs today? As least we know pretty quickly we'll score one: Lindor homered on the 3rd pitch.

Guyer with his impressive 150 average and 569 OPS is hitting 5th. Forcing Chisox to pitch very carefully to Encarnacion ahead of him.

very short lived lead. Abreu homers with a man on in the bottom of the first.
I thought these were the WhiteSox of the future vs. the Indians of the present. We're not taking care of business in this series. Or, alternatively, the White Sox kid pitchers [plus James Shields] are developing ahead of schedule.

Not surprisingly, Gonzalez who can hit is playing second today instead of Kipnis who cannot. Unfortunately however 1st inning error by Gonzalez preceded the Abreu blast.

Lousy control by Rodon ties for Tribe. 2 walks, then Guyer sticks his elbow into a pitch as he is so good at doing, and then Gomes draws another walk to bring in a run. Then Alonso fans to leave them loaded.
How bad is Alonso against lefties? I'll look it up.

The answer: not all that awful. Hitting only 192 on 10 hits in 52 AB, but those hits include 3 doubles and 3 homers and have led to 14 RBI. K/BB is a satisfactory 9/5. Which means his stat line is 192/263/423

deadlocked after 4. Clevinger, like the typical Indian pitcher, is racking up the strikeouts. 7 so far.

Greg Allen, 0-2 today, is now 1 for his last 30. He's renewed the lease on his Columbus apartment.

YEAH!! JRam goes deep 4-2 top of 7. Clevinger deserves a win. He has one more inning in him.

With Brantley taking the day off, today's 3 outfielders are hitting 223, 159 and 208. Quite a dead zone.

Let's trade for Machado. We won't need an OF with the best infield, maybe ever?

Clevinger strikes him out to end the inning on his 100th pitch. Bring him back out for another batter or two. This lead is not bullpen safe yet.
