7th inning and 1 out for Detroit. 1-1 Bases loaded and I'm thinking Miller would ordinarily be in here.

Hey Tito, if you can’t trust your clean up hitter to swing away with two on in extra innings then he shouldn’t be batting clean up to start with. That bunt was criminal.

Well the bullpen did ok although the result was a loss. Tito started with his current setup men: Perez and Ramirez who held the fort. Then he took a deep breath and gave Otero a shot, and although he filled the bases he scraped by. Holding his nose he went for McAllister and survived that risk.
Although he had said beforehand that Allen was getting the day off, I guess he figured that the alternatives of Marshall, Olson and Tomlin were just too hard to contemplate. Unfortunately Cody will be unavailable today to close it out.

The old "closer in a non save situation" bit Cody.

Agree with HB - he didn't even look like he knew how to bunt.

Glad Gonzalez is getting some playing time. Home he makes the most if it. Maybe they will allow Kip's neck to heal real nice. Really take their time with is. Precautionary of course. Can't be too careful with the neck. Could end up paralyzed or sumpin.

Greg Allen leading off today. Lindor slips into cleanup. Not too many players are equally fit to hit 1st or 4th.

Since the Tribe went 1=2=3 in the first, Lindor wound up being a leadoff hitter after all. So he singled, stole a base and scored on Alonso's double. And he scored on Melky sac fly.

2 runs behind Kluber exceeds his average runs allowed. We're in a good place And Corey has retired the first six in a row.

I guess it's obvious but when I bother to reflect on it, Kluber's sustained level of dominance is the best the team has had since the Feller Lemon days. 2 Cy Youngs already and through first 1/3+ of 2018 he's running second to Verlander.

Since post just went up in General D that Corey is best at not allowing runners to score, he, meanwhile, allowed a runner to score on a well placed ground ball. 2-1 Tribe after 3.
