AC makes up the harmless error with a run homer.
Then Indians try a steal with Buck heading to 2nd and Choo on 3rd, catcher launches one to the OF and both score. 4-1 Tribe after one.

Asdrubal now with 8 homers and 29 RBI. I'm hoping he unlike Grady and Travis does not repeat a 2010 trip to the DL. He certainly won't be voted onto the all-star team (what with True All Stars) like Derek Jerek playing the same postition but he is pretty certain to be picked.
I imagine Chris Perez has a good All Star opportunity.
And the remarkable Josh Tomlin couldn't fail to be chosen as things stand now, which is rather incredible for a guy who opened last season as the Clippers' 6th starter and long reliever.

3 singles to start the 2nd (one a bunt by Brantley who follows with a steal) score Run #5. Santana whiffs with men on 1st and 3rd. Yesterday's hero pops up. OC fans. What could have been a big ininng and maybe a killer to the Reds thoughts of coming back ends rather meekly, but a 4 run lead still means we have the momentum. And Carrasco just has to pitch competently

Disappointing end to that inning, though! We had 1st and 3rd, no outs, and couldn't score. Shoulda knocked Volquez out of the game.

Carrasco sets them down in order again in the 3rd. He still makes me nervous, but he is pitching pretty much as advertised when he came over from Philly.

Miserable Reds pitcher opens the third by hitting Kearns. Walks Hanrahan. Wild pitches the runners along. He and his catcher are doing what they can to give the Tribe a sweep

2nd and 3rd, no outs - can we take advantage this inning?
First man Ks...

Our not so clutch hitting continues as Lou Marson strikes out. Maybe it's time to try a delayed steal of home.

And ACab makes it 7-1 with a single to right!

Not to worry, reliable Michael Brantley with a sac fly and even more reliable Asdrubal singes in run number 7. Goodbye Volzquez.

Reds traded Josh Hamilton to get Volquez.

50 pitches by inefficient Carrasco in 3 innings, so we'll get at least 3 bullpen innings today. If things stay close to what they are Josh Judy will get his first big league work.
