No wonder I listen to Morning Joe now in the am rather than any sports show.

Those numbers on Jenkins are pretty impressive! 5 seasons with HR more often than 1 per 8 innings; 2 at 1 in 6.5 innings.

Tomlin's small sample trounces those rates, but yes I would accept a Tomlin career equal to a Fergie career!

Donald Trump is much more interesting than these teams.

Glad to have him around. My ignore message quota had not been met for awhile. I hope he is enjoying the end of the season and looks forward to a busy offseason. Everyone needs someone/something to vent at. Polluting the forum is less offensive by far than kicking the dog or shooting the neighborhood policeman.

Tonight's win moves us to 4 games back of Texas in the WC race. A long shot, but not out of it yet...

Most all the experts, and probably many of us non-experts, assumed Brantley had a "career year" last season and would drop back to his norm, or to a new norm, this season. But he's again hitting well over 300. Again has an OPS not far from 900. Homer total is getting close to last year's and he's just a couple doubles shy of 2014 with 100 fewer at bats. Apparently he is simply one of the best hitters in baseball. Nice to have him. And this is in a season where he's been slowed by injuries!

Chisenhall was busy throwing guys out all over the place last night, and even making a putout at 2nd base to end that bizarre dp.

His hitting has dropped into one of those prolonged slumps if his, 1-20 going into yesterday's game, but he came through with one vital hit. Still not sure if he's going to be a major league success or not; it appears he'll constantly blow real hot and real cold.

The way Chisenhall is playing RF, I feel at the very least he'll be a nice 4th outfielder who you can use vs. certain righties. Wow, what a revelation out there.

Made a nice running catch yesterday, too. Apparently a natural RF although no one knew it until this summer.
