Must say, Germano and Durbin each had very easy innings.

11 pitches and 7 pitches.

Minnesota down 2-0 in their 4th at Seattle.

If Wedge's team wins, The Tribe would have one of those nice nights putting space between us and every team in the division.

LaPorta not getting a chance for a 5 for 5 night, as Marson bats for him.

LaPorta raised his average from .248 to .274 tonight if I can count on the Friday and Monday box scores.

Vinnie Pestano to work the 9th.

I guess Acta wanted to get the rust off after the lost weekend.

Santana with an outstanding dive and stab of a liner between 1st and 2nd.

I hope did didn't ding himself. An awkward leg kick and a hard landing.

Guess our relievers did need some work. Pestano hadn't pitched since May 10.

And he only needed 8 pitches in the 9th.

We win.

Our rotation is out of sorts with the long gameless weekend.

KC's is even more out of sorts with their rotation.

Teams with a destiny win games like the one we have tomorrow night in KC.

Pedal to the metal in KC, and then ram it though in Chicago while The Sox are reeling.

Let's put at least three of our division foes double digit out by June 1.

Good riddance.
Does that portend that we will get Spahn and Sain?

Here's why Tomlin left early last night:

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Josh Tomlin has never done what Vin Mazzaro did Monday night at Kauffman Stadium. But he knows about the changes the game can put one through.

If Saturday's rained-out game between the Indians and Seattle had restarted at Progressive Field, Tomlin was going to replace Alex White even though he was scheduled to start Sunday's game. Just before Sunday's game at Progressive Field was rained out, Tomlin went through his full bullpen warm-up. He was on the mound, getting ready to throw his first pitch when the game was stopped for good.

He started again Monday night. This time there was no rain or delays -- only a deluge of runs as the Indians beat Kansas City, 19-1, to improve their record to 25-13.

"I'm proud of Tomlin," said manager Manny Acta. "I can't say enough about this guy. It's been three days in a row where he had to prepare himself mentally to pitch, including Sunday when he warmed up. Nothing seems to bother him."

Tomlin (5-1, 2.56) allowed one run on five hits in six innings. Acta removed him after 81 pitches because of what he'd gone through Saturday and Sunday.

"I felt fine, but Manny wanted to keep the pitch count down because I did warm up pretty good on Sunday," said Tomlin.

Thanks, CIV. I was peeved b/c Tomlin is on my fantasy team, and could have got a lot more points if he stayed in the whole game. But I guess it was for the best that he was removed.

Another example of Manny being Manny.......managing the pitching well.

No point putting more mileage on Tomlins' arm in a blowout.

Good opportunity for the bullpen scrubs to see some game action.

Tribe outfield mix is a mess without Sizemore.

None of the LF candidates currently on the roster are appealing choices.
