Realignment/expansion:
Just a thought. Why not put the mega spending teams into an East Coast division and West Coast division and let them spend crazy.

Not to excuse him, but he would have a hard time finding an every day nine guys among the 13 he has available.
Naylor, Santana, Rocchio, Arias, Ramirez, Kwan, Someone, Kayfus, Manzardo isn't going to scare too many pitchers.

rusty - agree on platoons they are overdone. There is no excuse to be benching Manzo against lefties at this point...ever.

Of Civ's group. Ramirez, Kwan, Manzardo and Kayfus are starters and keepers.
Rest of the season I play Arias and Rocchio everyday. Santana and Jones only need to play if someone gets injured or quits. I immediately call up Noel and let him play against all pitchers. There is enough room for Manzardo, Kayfus and Noel to play everyday. We will try to acquire a RH power bat in the off season so why not give our current best chance another shot.

Civale has gone a tour of Lake MIchigan lately with stops in Milwaukee, southside Chicago and Northside. Not to mention a journey to Tampa for awhile

Remember how poor the pitching stacked up well into the season? Now the Guardians 4th in the AL.
Rather remarkable that a team can have a 10 game losing streak; another 9 out of 10 loss string; lose its closer and an effective starter; still have a negative 31 run-scored differntial
Be 7 games over 500 and be in playoff contention.
Some nice work by young pitchers; Vogt obviously knows how to keep the team motivated; some offensive boost from the New Rocchio; Kayfus; and everyday someone [Naylor yesterday] who gives an offensive boost.
