There was never a doubt about the last 6 ball games. Six ball games the tribe had to win against teams they were "expected" to beat. Great job!
Great job by the entire organization from the front office to the coaches, to the manager, and to the players who all made it possible and who made it happen. It's been a wonderful year. A year I finally had something to look forward to right out of the gate.
Go Tribe!

I wish we could take all of the players from today's ballgame and have them rostered for the playoffs. It's not often that you see that many players contribute in a positive way so often.

Danny Salazar!!!! Wow! Two short years ago, 2011, he was playing winter ball in Panama of all places. I followed Salazar as well as Toru Murata and Steven Wright. There was a lot of good stuff written about Salazar in the local newspapers and I kept track of the boxscores on a daily basis.
In May of 2010, the right-hander suffered a right elbow sprain. Then, in August of that year, he opted to have Tommy John surgery.
In 2011, he made his return to the mound and posted a 3.07 ERA in 14 2/3 innings with Lake County and the AZL Indians. Salazar also pitched in Instructs that fall where he posted a 1.32 ERA in 13 2/3 innings pitched, and he posted strong numbers in the Panama League that winter (1.74 ERA in 41 1/3 innings pitched). Salazar also had 29 strikeout and 8 walks with a record of 3-1.
Salazar, Murata, and Wright lead the Roneros to the League championship.
At the conclusion of the championship game, I named Danny Salazar as my breakout pitcher.
Wednesday, Salazar will start the biggest game of his young life and with it, the hopes of all tribe fans.
WoW!

Friend of mine offered me an extra ticket for Wednesday. Couldn't refuse that offer! This will be my first postseason game.

I bought three tickets behind home plate for Game 2 Tuesday.
I figure my brother can take his kids. If for some reason he can't......I'll have three tickets to get rid of.

Relief of sorts--- if there is one pitcher I did not want to face in this wild card series, it was David Price.

Rays are up, 3-0 in the third.
We have a better record v. TX than v. Tampa.

Be that as it may, I think I fear Tejas more than Tampa. Especially, as Joe indicated, no Price.

4-2 now, bottom 6th.
Price is getting a Glavine-esque strike zone!

Rangers caught a break there. Even though there are 2 extra umps, they missed a trap.
