Maybe half or 2/3 had good careers, many are memorable only for their brief period of success.

a season wrapup for AA and Class A guys is in order and despite some unearned runs one of his last times out Franco Aleman completed his time in Akron with an ERA of ZERO.ZERO in 24 innings. He gave up 9 hits 5 walks and struck out 38. Before his promotion he was not particularly impressive in Lake County with an ERA of 5.52, WHIP 1.44, 4 homers in 31 innings.

Kyle Manzardo is completing his season in fine style. Another homer, and a single and 2 rbi yesterday.
He's not on the 40 man roster so I guess they won't bring him for the final week; they'd have to DFA who won't make it on the roster through the winter.
and with only 3 years in the minors he won't have to be added to the roster over the winter anyway. So, we'll see him in Goodyear.
 J. Rodriguez with his 29th homer of the season
Rocchio single and double and steal
Noel single and walk
Valera ditto

Another not very impressive game by Joey Cantillo: 5 innings 3 hits 6 walks 2 runs 2 strikeouts. ERA 4.64 in AAA. 16 homers in 95 innings. 55 walks is far too many. 111 strikeouts points out his potential

Arizona Fall League rosters announced. Guardians are one of the teams feeding the Peoria Javelinas. our contributions:

5 pitchers:
Ross Carver who pitched for Akron as a starter and was terrible; ERA 6 .51 24 years old acquired last off season in minorleague trade.
Lefty Erik Sabrowski after injury rehab pretty decent in the Akron pen 2.49 ERA in only 22 IP. almost 26 years old
Jake Miller 23 year old. Injured for most of the season; 3.15 in 20 innings with Lake County
Brad Hanner acquired as minor league Rule 5 last year 24 years old 2.78 in Akron bullpen
Lefty Ryan Webb after rehab pitched well in Class A 24 years old with Lake County 3.22 ERA 1.26 WHIP He like Carver and unlike the others was a starter this year.
Round 4 pick in 2021, probably highest expections of the 5.

IF Christian Cairo 23 year old also a 4th round pick son of Miguel Cairo. Also injured 1/2 of the season. 239 with 727 OPS with Lake County Career 213 in the minors
1B Kyle Manzardo see above for stats with Columbus; a top 100 prospect and potential top power bat who draws a decent no. of walks and not too many whiffs
OF Chase DeLauter will turn 22 soon OF who like everyone else here missed a bunch of time with injuries. excelled at Lake County. excelled at Akron.

Ryan Webb was a 4th round pick so was well regarded when drafted. BA put him on their Hot Prospect one week recently and said nice things about him.
No other potential starters; don't know enough about Sabrowski Miller and Hanner and to know if they are bullpen prospects.

The AFL is not a pitchers' showcase. Hitters pound these guys working on stuff.

seagull I may see if I can get to a game or two of Peoria's. Hopefully an away game since it's in the West Valley.

Angel Martinez walk off 2 run single for the Clippers in their penultimate game; he doubled a run in earlier; and an earlier single. He's at 275/742 in AAA
J. Rodriguez has slowed his home run pace but did single twice, so's he's at 279 with 938 OPS for the Clippers
Brito getting a brief visit to the top rung of the minors, was hitless in 3 but drew a walk

Our minor league teams are done, Columbus lost their finale 3-2. Rocchio scored the 2 runs with his 7th homer.
9 pitchers worked an inning each.
Adam Scott who started the season opener with a memorable performance, hitting 5 batters and walking 2 more all in 1 2/3 innings, started the finale and was far better: 1 walk, 1 hit and 3 outs.
Scott was a 4th round pick in 2018, proof among many other examples, that the "Cleveland Pitching Factory" doesn't always succeed.

Something about leading a horse to water.

Some are coachable. Some are not.
