Veteran incompetent RH Eichoff working badly or the Clippers; 3 homes 5 runs in 4 innings.
Totally unknown infielder Daniel Schneemann having a very good year after numerous nondescript years in the G's farm system He hit his 7th homer today, now battng 306 with OPS nearing 900. If Fry deserves a chance, let this guy get a shot too. Perhaps he also could pitch a scoreless inning in a blowout loss.
Meanwhile super prospect George Valera is now at 148 and awaiting his next injury.

Akron took the opener 1-0. Even when he pitches shutout ball, Doug Nikhazy walks 5 in 5 innings.
J Rod single double 276/833
A Martinez 3 singles 228/651
Game 2 scoreless after 2. Rodriguez with a single. Tanner Burns 2 scoreless.

With the smoke clearing, Lake County also playing 2 and took the opener 4-2. Burgos HR 6. Jake Fox 3 hits, 219/644. At least he's on the way up, slowly, and he is also one of the youngest in the league so don't write him off.
Morgan Ellerts who I recently discovered has been pitching very well, was OK 1 scoreless, 1 hit 1 walk
Game 2 scoreless after 2.

Juan Benjamin double single 3 rbi 273
Big 6-6 Austin Peterson with a stellar 8 innings [no one ptiches 8 innings in Class A] 2 hits, 0 runs, no walks, only 2 strikeouts.

Lake County trailed Fort Wayne 6-3 in the bottom of the 8th. Frias 0-3 on the day, put the Captains on top 7-6 with his 5th homer on the season, a grand slam. The lead was short lived as Fort Wayne put 4 on the board in top of the 9th. Nate Furman's 2 out throwing error kept the inning alive for Fort Wayne as they went on to score 4.

Brayan Rocchio, SS, Guardians: Rocchio finished a home run shy of the cycle in Triple-A Columbus’ 19-2 win over Nashville. The 22-year-old middle infielder doubled twice, tripled, drove in two and scored three runs.
As you can guess with that score, Rocchio wasn't the only guy with a big day at the plate. Oscar Gonzalez continues to prove he's ready for a return: he homered, singled twice and drove in 6 runs.
2 singles and a double for Valera
Lavastida returned to AAA singled 2 walks 2 rbi
some familiar pitchers:
Logan Allen 3 scoreless innings, no hit 2 walks 49 pitches; still not too efficient
Plesac 3 innings 4 hits 2 runs a homerun ERA in AAA drops to 7.03
Karinchak 1 inning 1 walk 1 balk 1 strikeout 18 pitches

Battenfield 3 0 0 0 4 5

Lake County lost 7-4.
In his second start in High A Parker Messick was again ineffective: 5 8 6 6 1 4 2 homers.
The 2022 class is looking really terrible. DeLauter is finally back in action, although not yesterday [on Monday: single homer hitting 286/857 in 4 games]. Campbell is out for the year. Messick was next. Then some singles hitters: Lampe barely over 200 [208/631], Furman who was tough out in Lynchburg not in LC [196/559] Lipscomb still in Lynchburg.

shutout on the Hot Sheet, which isn't surprising since the only Hot Hitter recently has been Gonzalez and he's not eligible as a major league veteran.
