Game is underway, and the Jays have a man on 2nd with 2 outs in the first. Ubaldo is on the bump for us.

Scoreless after 3. Jiminez has his pitch count to 65 without surrendering a run. Johnson for the Jays meanwhile has thrown 42 pitches fanning 4 and retiring 9 in a row. The two starters have nearly identical ERAs in the 4.5-4.6 range.

Probably one more inning before the bullpen, 79 pitches to get 12 outs. Maybe Preston Guilmet will get his major league baptism.

Indians take the lead on a Nick Swisher RBI. (did I read somewhere that he was washed up?)

Well, I did. At least sort of.
I believe the poster shared he believed he thought Swisher's trade value is higher now than it will ever be from this point forward with the $45 million owed to him for the next three seasons, and another $17 more if he gets 550 AB's in 2016.
If all holds up at this moment, The Tribe will move to 2 1/2 out tonight.
That said, I still believe the organization needs to dump that future handicapping contract to Swisher, and toss some cash at anyone else who could produce his numbers for 2013 for the rest of 2013 to keep the thin Division Championship hopes alive with an eye to the future.
Tribe looks like it is on ice to move to 2 1/2 out tonight.

Perez is on for the save. CWS have taken the lead on the Tigers, 6-1 now.
