Back to baseball, Joe was right about Kluber coming out of nowhere to be a solid arm, and right about Kluber letting it get away from him. Sometime soon McAllister will be back and one of the other starters will go back to Columbus. Based on his last couple starts that will be Kluber and then he'll be the 26th man when we need a starter for a doubleheader or someone else needs a break; that will be a big improvement over Bauer who will require plenty of patience as he struggles with his maturity.

Anyone remember a couple of years ago when Homer Bailey faced Jeremy Sowers? Their paths sure differed.

I remember we picked Jeremy Sowers #6 in the 2004 draft while the Reds chose Homer Bailey one pick later at the #7 spot. Jered Weaver went #12

Anyone looking ahead to the Detroit series in Cleveland this weekend?
1st place!
Last homestand before the break- Tigers, Jays, and Royals!
The weather looks promising.
Friday - Sugardale $1 hot dog night. 4th of July weekend - Fireworks !?!?!
Saturday - KeyBank Rewards Weekend; 1904 Replica Block C cap (navy blue) presented by Time Warner Cable, First 10,000 Fans.
Sunday - KeyBank Kids Fun Day, Kids Run the Bases presented by Cleveland Clinic Children's.
Could we be staring at 3 straight sellouts this weekend???
I'm thinking so.

I'm hoping that we can sweep KC, and pick up a game or two on the Tigers before we face them.
I'm sure that none of the games will be a sellout. The Indians' new rip-off pricing guarantees that.

Fridays game will be real close if not a sell out.

Dollar dogs and fireworks bring out the fans, but all those outfield upper deck seats are priced at $26.60 plus ticketmaster charges. I figure there will be 30-32,000 on Friday.

J.R.,
Thanks for doing your job as a moderator.
I know Rusty can be abrasive and abusive to some posters but the vast majority of his comments are directly baseball related (and the negative/abrasive comments are always related to someone else's baseball opinion, for better or worse).
The guy who says he's gone because people object to his steady stream of political BS will probably be back, even though his comments rarely have anything to do with players or games, and always focus on the pathological Shapiro hatred. At least if you continue to moderate as you did all the Indians fans here will spared from some of that venom and BS.
To everyone else who comes here to talk about the actual Indians baseball team, I want to say thanks. I've been pretty busy but it's really nice to be able to come here when I get the chance and catch up on the latest Tribe status, games and news. The only way I'll see much of them is if they go play in AZ when I'm here, or if they make a nationally televised broadcast. My internet connections are too slow both where I live and where I work to stream games, although I do catch them on XM whenever I can.
So again, thanks for the info and updates.

Matt Underwood:
We've just been told that they are expecting the start of the game being delayed an hour and a half...will post any further updates.

Top 6th: Tigers 6, Blue Jays 0
Alex Avila's three-run homer capped Detroit's four-run second as Max Scherzer looks for the first 13-0 start since Roger Clemens' in 1986.
Looks like Scherzer will pick up win number 13 against 0 losses.
Sure happy we won't be facing him this weekend.
