I watched both games and woke up my wife with a loud "YES!!" when Swisher went long. Took me a while to get to sleep but feel like crap today.

Players have to be tired too but it is better if you are tired after a sweep.

Francona played players well yesterday, resting some and playing some but I did question letting Carrasco stay in a bit too long. Hill should have pitched to de Aza who had hit Carrasco pretty well. Carrasco needs to pitch inside despite his history.

Anyway I am not griping, just observing.

In all, a great day.

The 2nd game of the double header for Cleveland is still going on while it is a Friday night and 75% of the very few Cleveland "residents" who actually work do not have to go to work tomorrow.

That's right. I went to bed earlier than usual last night, not b/c I had driven 7 hours back home from Baltimore, but because I hate Mark Shapiro.

Here's a pic from 2005 in Winter Haven. If you recall, the Indians did NOT get to the WS that year. Instead of working the phones for a trade that would have put us over the top, Shapiro sat with this dude in a wheelchair, and talked with him for 20 minutes or more. What a jerk! btw, it was DONNA who put him up to this, so let's all give some hatred to her, too.

That was the last time I saw Jim. It was difficult to talk with him b/c his voice was almost gone. But he was in good spirits, and enjoyed being in WH with his friends from the forum.

Tribe is up 4-3 in the 9th. Cabrera and Kipnis have homered for us.

CP sets them down, 1-2-3.
