We're taking my granddaughter camping this weekend while Mark is taking my grandson and his wife to the Sox-Indians game on Sunday.

19 runs, 21 hits, and Bourn, Brantley, Santana, and Giambi are riding the pines.

We are just getting hammered by the rain. Whatever happened to the 15 minute, afternoon thunderstorms??. Every rainfall we've had the last week had "severe" associated with them. Almost all had damaging wins and bb sized hail. They are predicting the next round of storms for tonight and tomorrow. Sunday is supposed to be the best day this week.

Everyone here has gone to bed and quit caring. I guess.

Thank you, for that THAT effect on Cleveland Indians Fandom, Mark Shapiro.
Any Cleveland Sports Writer who conjures Gabe Paul when referencing Cleveland Indians Fan woes....without noting Mark Shapiro with at least equal chagrin...... should be...... (fill in the blank.....I'm not feeling aggressive tonight or opinionated tonight).

The 2nd game of the double header for Cleveland is still going on while it is a Friday night and 75% of the very few Cleveland "residents" who actually work do not have to go to work tomorrow.

It's 6-5 Chicago with a runner on in the bottom of the 8th, by the way.

Top o the 9th, down 8-5. Runners at the corners no out bourne up.

Now 8-6 runners at the corners no out....Giambi up pinch hitting

making it interesting at least.

Wild pitch, Cabrerra scores, 8-7 Bourne at 2nd, Giambi still batting 2-2 still no out...long fly to center, bourne to 3rd.

One out and Red hot Kipnis up tying run 90 feet away....surprised they aren't giving him an intentional walk with Swisher up. Sac fly to Center....bourne scores, blown save. all tied up.

2 out bases empty Swisher up......works the count 3-2. And he hits a home run....Up 9-8.

2 out bases empty Reynolds up. Strikes out.

That was awesome.

It's all up to Pestano.....who pitched an inning in the first game.....guess they don't want Perez to pitch twice in one day.

Strike out....2 to go....3 straight balls to wells...make that 4. Walks

Tying run at first 1 out. Strikes him out....one to go.

And strike three called.

Ball game

2nd 9th inning comeback this road trip.

Sweeps the double header.

4-2 thus far on the road trip. 28 runs scored today.

Not bad, not bad at all.
