I know the name of Ray Narleski. I know he was important in Cleveland Indian History.
As a Browns Fan, I remember Jim Ninowski.
Good thoughts to the family and Fans of Ray Narleski.

Did you see it,
CALI?
Looks like it was on last week, but I missed it. Don't see any future showings scheduled here in Cleveland.
Yep, I watched it,
J.R. With a gazillion PBS station feeds (OK.....maybe 7) out here I watched it one and one half times.
You'd like it.
Keep checking. It will certainly come around again, or be available on DVD with a donation to a PBS station near you soon.

The Indians traded Narleski, Mossi and infielder Ossie Alvarez to the Tigers for pitcher Al Cicotte and infielder Billy Martin — who went on to managing fame — on Nov. 20, 1958.
The six degrees of Billy Martin.

Narleski and Mossi were quite a combo in the pen. Part of the reason I became and Indians fan.
You're probably glad he's dead then.

Remember when Marathon had its "fill the stadium" nights? BP is doing something similar this year, though it's not as simple:

Narleski threw hard, Ninowski threw harder. I seem to remember him throwing bullets that were hard to catch.

When I was a kid, I vividly recall I had a Jim Ninowski card on the inside door of my bedroom. I also recall a Jerry Grote card. Why I had either on display in the day, I have no idea....

I re-upped on my MLB12 package to get the games on my iPhone. It's a super investment of about $14. Of course the $14 is on top of the $99 mlb.tv minimum early purchase package I also re-upped on some time back.
When buying and installing MLB12 on the phone, I received the customary "Accept the Term of The Agreement" page. For kicks, I decided I might peruse the terms.
The terms were 64 freakin' pages. Seriously.

I remember when
Sunoco had the back of Cleveland Indians broadcasts. I had the entire set of Cleveland Indians glasses after weeks of making my Dad fill up there. He preferred to fill up at
Pure because he had more choices of fuel grade, and they always seemed to have great promotions involving cases of "pop."
I also liked
Sinclair when they had the dinosaur promotions, though most Sinclair stations were closer to Cleveland than Akron.
On really cold days I had my Dad fill up at
Sohio so we would not be faced with fuel line freeze up. Plus, I wanted to see if any of our license tags were on the prize list.

Masters weekend coming up.
Right along with Cleveland Indians Opening Day and weekend.
On Sunday, I'll be glued to a screen for the back nine at Augusta.
My best golf years involved shooting under par at an Akron area Arnold Palmer Putt Putt course.
Here's to the Irish guy on Sunday in Augusta.

Oh, and I mentioned a while back that commercials really suck these days. Well someone finally made a great one. If you guys haven't seen the full two and a half minute Nike commercial,
I would run to you then you should check it out.

Thanks for showing that . Always makes me laugh. Funny thing about that video. Ben Crane (helmet man) is considered to be a very boring slow player.
Bubba Watson sponsors a tournament at my club. Has a house at High Rock Lake NC. His wife was the womens champ at Willow Creek in High Point NC.
Little known fact. Bubba is a complete phony. Wears the overalls in that video and has the name of Bubba. In reality he is pure country club brat. Would not talk to you unless he had to.

Now THAT was a good commercial!
That first thing with Bubba and Helmet Boy just made me think all the way through that NASCAR guys make better entertaining commercials than PGA guys.
I know there are not any NASCAR fans around here besides me, but those sponsors come up with new commercials for each week that are usually at least mildly entertaining.
