For the record I am also unvaccinated. And I got covid. It's the flu - at least it was for old guy me. And I've been sicker.

So Karinchak and others are doing what they think is best - no one's business but their own.

Good job to the team though using Karinchak BEFORE the trip. A little rest will do him good.

Giving Naylor a day off today but they don't have anyone to play first other than Miller. Who has not dropped any throws recently. But a cleanup hitter with a 651 OPS and a RH vs a RH pithcer we could hardly do worse.
If neither Jones nor Benson is considered ready to play some 1st base, one should go back to Columbus and play 1st every day for the rest of the month and then return to Cleveland ready to back up Naylor.

after the 7 inning, 8 inning and 6 inning shutouts, Civale gave them 3 before second time around the Tigers got to him
Plesac has gone the first 3 scoreless today, too.

Meanwhile, in yesterday' s games WhiteSox shoddy defense and relief pitching cost them another game
and Twins relievers lost theirs.
So the G's hold on to first by a game entering today's games

No longer a mirror; Kwan homers his 3rd and the G's 3rd run. Now hitting 302. OPS 775.
One season doesn't prove anything [see: Mercado, Oscar] but Kwan's steady improvement after a bad May is awfully impressive.
No one expected this much from him even after his terrific season in AA and AAA last year.

0-2 on old friend Willie Castro
then 3 balls, count is full
2 foul balls
another
and called strike 3

That long inning took him to 95 pitches.
So we will need 3 innings of relief

Everyone got a little work in yesterday other than Morgan who is in a slump and delos Santos.

A bit of clutch hitting to build the lead would be appreciated.
