24063Hamilton was dumping on him from the start; didnt' think he'd make it out of the first inning
Salazar of course announced that he was hurt, effective at the start of the game, with a pulled groin muscle and that's why he couldn't use his legs for leverage and that he was throwing in the low 90s on his rehab. Sounds like the predictable "setback" and Danny will back where he belongs, on the Perpetual IL

24064Hope you got it on DVR because who knows if he'll be seen again!
Unless you have the minor league package - then you can watch him on perpetual rehab.

24065Tribe up 7-1 in the 7th. Clevinger out but pitched great.
Look, are you guys as happy as I am to see this team actually trot out a really good lineup?
Reyes had some bad luck tonight but tagged the ball twice. And Puig played a key part with a couple hits and a good scoring baserunning play. These guys are real hitters and scary hitters. Fun to see.

24066I don't want in the minors either, setting a bad example for the young guys on fighting back from injuries and staying in shape.
Re: GameTime!™
24067Gotta be thrilled with this outing by Plutko so far - 5 scoreless.
Tribe breaks it open with homers by Kip and Lindor. Yes, a real offense now. (PS - Franmil doubled)

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Fresh off a training camp scrimmage at FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield quenched his thirst by shotgunning a beer from a suite while taking in Saturday’s Indians game against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Progressive Field scoreboard flashed a shot of Mayfield, seated in a luxury box with his wife Emily, sipping a beer as he watched the action. Mayfield saluted, and then somebody off camera tossed him a full can which the second-year QB cracked open with his teeth and chugged to the delight of the crowd.
Mayfield then turned around to show he was wearing a Francisco Lindor jersey and frantically waved his arms while imploring the crowd to “get up” and show their enthusiasm.
The Indians, who had been held hitless to that point in the game, immediately got on the scoreboard behind a double by newcomer Franmil Reyes and a two-run homer by Jason Kipnis.
And perhaps inspired by Mayfield’s jersey choice, Lindor blasted a three-run homer of his own a few batters later to give the Tribe a 5-0 lead.
The scene was reminiscent of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and teammate David Bakhtiari staging a beer-chugging contest during Game 5 of this year’s NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals in Milwaukee. Bakhtiari famously downed three beers before Rodgers could finish a single brew as Bucks fans cheered the lineman on.
Indians fans will also remember LeBron James and the 2016 NBA champion Cavaliers pumping the home crowd up before Game 2 of the American League Division Series against Boston that year. The moment appeared to take the air out of the sails for the Red Sox, who were swept by the Tribe two days later.
Mayfield made his way to the Indians clubhouse after the game where he met with catcher Kevin Plawecki and infielder Mike Freeman. The trio enjoyed a post-game beverage using bright red Uberfist drink holders. The Incredible Hulk-style drink holders have become a popular item among Indians pitchers during when celebrating wins in the past month.

24071Mercado gets us on the board first today with a solo shot out to CF. This dude has more power than I knew, and should only get better as he matures a bit physically.
Re: GameTime!™
24072Lindor and Kipnis both Homer again. 20 for Lindor, and he got a late start.
5 hits for Tribe, all extra base hits. 2 doubles too.
