Pitch count is getting up there. I wonder if he stays in.

By the way, Naquin looks so much better at the plate now than early on. He's getting locked in. He's not pulling off everything. He has a single up the middle and a double the opposite way over LF'ers head. And the one time he got out he hit a ball on the screws to straight CF that the fielder caught on the run on the warning track. If wind wasn't blowing in from RF that would have been extra bases too, if not homer.

Agree with HB on the bright spot of Naquin looking on his game tonight.

BUT, the bullpen still is an issue. Seems they hoped Edwards would step up and take that main setup role but he doesn't look ready to.

Offensive breakthrough: Roberto Perez' single was the first hit for a Tribe catcher in 6 games.

I'm sure the stat historians can easily determine when the last time in baseball history a team's players at a single position had gone hitless for the first 5 games of the season.

Stamets keeps his ineptitude going.

Jose Ramirez (foot) is not in the Indians' lineup Friday.

Ramirez fouled a ball off his left foot Thursday and he's apparently still sore. Max Moroff is getting a start at third base.

(Bieber should be comfortable hitting with a minor league team behind him)

Yeah, so the team figures that the rotation and Lindor/Ramirez can keep them afloat this year. Oops.

Speaking of minors, I added the minors package (MiLB) to my MLB.TV subscription for a mere $25 for the season. Looking forward to peeking at some of those this season.
