So due to an erroneous tweet by ABC News' Brian Ross today the market dropped 350 points. It was retweeted 25,000 times last I heard. Thankfully news started coming out that it was bullshit and the market had a chance to rebound some.

This POS 'reporter' was so hell bent on making Trump look bad that he took a comment from one source and reported it as fact. And a lot of Americans lost money because of it.

Mainstream news media is an absolute joke. I don't think any of them have any credibility left. Journalism is dead. Everyone just wants to push their agenda.

1) Don't you just love tweeting  Greatest thing since apple pie :P

2) Doesn't take much to make Trump look bad either at home or abroad.

3) To the contrary, Journalism is what made/makes this country and the free world great.

Stock market tumbles after Flynn charges

NEW YORK — Stocks went on a wild ride on Friday following news that former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn would plead guilty in the Russia investigation, bringing the probe closer to President Donald Trump.

After falling more than 300 points, the Dow recovered most of its losses as traders digested the news on a day when the Senate was poised to pass a massive tax cut for U.S. corporations. The Dow finished down just 40 points to 24,231.

The tax cut plan has helped drive stocks to new highs this year along with the Trump administration’s efforts to roll back regulations across a swath of major American industries.

From Politico:

journalism isn't a hindsight business. Journalism happens in real time, against a deadline clock, and in a competitive atmosphere. [Kinda like the Republicans trying to push the tax reform plan through without a debate]

Liberals love to use this talking point. I'm sure it polls good or something. But it's ridiculous.

45% of Americans pay no federal taxes. The top 20% of earners pay 84% of our nations taxes.

Why is it so controversial that the top earners and people who pay the most taxes get the biggest tax cut?

Answer ... it isn't.

As I've said before, I never once got a job from a person in poverty.

Giving corporations a tax cut will encourage them from moving money offshore, keep them from moving more jobs overseas where the tax rate was much smaller than ours. Is already causing some companies to bring some jobs back. Will encourage them to hire more. And can only help the working class.

Stop being ridiculous.

Re: Politics

And another thing about people who like to demonize tax cuts as trickle down economics. Reagan got bashed by HW Bush for his tax cut plan, called it voodoo economics. Democrats called it trickle down economics and that it would kill the middle class.

Reagan got his tax cuts passed in '81. By 83-84 we had 18% growth in our economy. 18%!! That's unheard of now.

I'll take it.

And Reagan won re-election 49 states to 1.

And I think that's what the liberals are really afraid of and why they bash it. They have no ideas that come close to that.

CEOs keep contradicting Republican tax plan promises

The Rachel Maddow Show / The MaddowBlog MSNBC
http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show ... n-promises

11/29/17 09:20 AM—UPDATED 11/29/17 12:11 PM

Gary Cohn, Donald Trump’s top economic adviser, recently boasted, “The most excited group out there are big CEOs, about our tax plan.” Politically, it was a high-profile misstep: Republicans are supposed to pretend it’s working Americans who are excited about regressive tax breaks for the wealthy, not “big CEOs.”

But compounding the problem is that Cohn appears to be wrong. Bloomberg Politics reported this morning:

Major companies including Cisco Systems Inc., Pfizer Inc. and Coca-Cola Co. say they’ll turn over most gains from proposed corporate tax cuts to their shareholders, undercutting President Donald Trump’s promise that his plan will create jobs and boost wages for the middle class…. Instead of hiring more workers or raising their pay, many companies say they’ll first increase dividends or buy back their own shares. […]

John Bogle, founder of Vanguard Group, said Tuesday that the Republican tax plan is a “moral abomination” in part because companies will hand over the proceeds to shareholders.

Bogle added yesterday, “One of the flaws is that corporations are putting their shareholders ahead of the people that built the corporation.”

This follows a related story from two weeks ago when Cohn participated in the Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council meeting. An event moderator asked the business leaders in attendance to raise their hands if they intend to use their tax cuts on capital investments. Only a handful of executives’ hands went up

Cohn, surprised and apparently disappointed, asked, “Why aren’t the other hands up?”

Donald Trump doesn't think much of climate change, in 20 quotes

2012
1. "The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive."

2. "It's freezing and snowing in New York -- we need global warming!"

2013
3. "It's freezing outside, where the hell is 'global warming'??"

4. "I wonder if the Rutgers coach who had the audacity to yell at the player is a proponent of global warming?"

5. "We should be focused on magnificently clean and healthy air and not distracted by the expensive hoax that is global warming!"

6. "Wow, it's snowing in Isreal and on the pyramids in Egypt. Are we still wasting billions on the global warming con? MAKE U.S. COMPETITIVE!"

7. "Ice storm rolls from Texas to Tennessee - I'm in Los Angeles and it's freezing. Global warming is a total, and very expensive, hoax!"

2014
8. "Give me clean, beautiful and healthy air - not the same old climate change (global warming) bullshit! I am tired of hearing this nonsense."

9. Obama said in his SOTU that 'global warming is a fact.' Sure, about as factual as 'if you like your healthcare, you can keep it.'"

10. "When will our country stop wasting money on global warming and so many other truly "STUPID" things and begin to focus on lower taxes?"

11. "It's late in July and it is really cold outside in New York. Where the hell is GLOBAL WARMING??? We need some fast! It's now CLIMATE CHANGE"

12. "Just out - the POLAR ICE CAPS are at an all time high, the POLAR BEAR population has never been stronger. Where the hell is global warming?"

2015
13. "It's really cold outside, they are calling it a major freeze, weeks ahead of normal. Man, we could use a big fat dose of global warming!"

14. "Wow, 25 degrees below zero, record cold and snow spell. Global warming anyone?"

15. "Record low temperatures and massive amounts of snow. Where the hell is GLOBAL WARMING?"

16. "I believe in clean air. Immaculate air. But I don't believe in climate change."

17. "I'm not a believer in man-made global warming. It could be warming, and it's going to start to cool at some point. And you know, in the early, in the 1920s, people talked about global cooling...They thought the Earth was cooling. Now, it's global warming...But the problem we have, and if you look at our energy costs, and all of the things that we're doing to solve a problem that I don't think in any major fashion exists."

2016
18. "Well, I think the climate change is just a very, very expensive form of tax. A lot of people are making a lot of money. I know much about climate change. I'd be—received environmental awards. And I often joke that this is done for the benefit of China. Obviously, I joke. But this is done for the benefit of China, because China does not do anything to help climate change. They burn everything you could burn; they couldn't care less. They have very—you know, their standards are nothing. But they—in the meantime, they can undercut us on price. So it's very hard on our business."

19. "I'm not supposed to be using hair spray. But think of it. So Obama's always talking about the global warming, that global warming is our biggest and most dangerous problem, OK?"

20. "I did not. I did not. I do not say that." (see #1)

Correction: This post has been changed to correct the year in which Trump denied saying the Chinese created the concept of climate change.

Bernie Sanders actually tweeted this out ...

Bernie Sanders @SenSanders
I say to my Republican colleagues: The American people are catching on. While you may get away with this act of looting tonight, history is not on your side.

You see the mind frame here? They don't view this as Americans getting to keep more of the money they earned. Their own money. They view it was someone taking their money away. Money they want to redistribute to areas they want.

Bernie is able to afford 3 or 4 homes by representing his constituents on the hill. And only pay 13% in taxes. Maybe he feels you are looting his pockets too.

It's over. It's done. Now we just have to sit back and see which side is right or which side is wrong. I hate the bill but there's nothing I can do about it now. I tried. I emailed Dianne Feinstein and voiced my concerns. Now all I have to do is sit back and see what happens.

Trump continues to shoot himself in the foot and keeps putting the Republican party at risk and the administration in the cross hairs.

I know the Republicans revel in the showmanship, but someone in the White House has to take that phone away before Trump takes the whole party down with him.

The majority of Americans don't think Trump is so funny anymore and the polls prove it with the negative approval ratings. It's quite fortunate that he has that 38% base.

WHAT???

As the days go by, it keeps getting more obvious that the administration is run by a bunch of amatuers. Clearly unqualified and over their heads. What white house lawyer would be posting incriminating tweets in the name of the president? Trump's name is on the tweet. He owns it. He's responsible for it. Why does the republican party keep letting this guy get away with this?

WOW !!
