Re: GameTime!™
9362At least the Cabrera fly out age us something to be excited about, even if just for a couple seconds.
Re: GameTime!™
9363Well, so much for that comeback in the 8.
J.R. ... You're a Latin teacher ... maybe you know the old term from Dante's Inferno that, in English, means something to the effect of, "abandon hope, all who enter here".
They should put that Latin saying on a sign and hang it above the Indians clubhouse door. Kinda like Notre Dame does with "play like champions", or whatever

9365Couple nice plays in the field. At least our boys are still flashing some leather. May not pitch or hit but can still catch.

9366HB: Who knew a hillbilly would have even heard of Dante?
He wrote in Italian, of course, which was "Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate."
In Latin, it would perhaps be:
"Dēpōnite omnem spem, vōs quī intrātis."

9370Seattle goes wild, apparently for the Felix Herndandez 12th win, and a last place 7 game winning streak.
Brent Lillibridge makes the last out to get it to I think 5-21 for us since he became a Cleveland Indian.

Re: GameTime!™
9371For some reason I was thinking when I first heard the saying it was in Latin but maybe it was Italian. Let's face it, my italian and Latin is no better than my Spanish.
